There are many ways to support the FCCC
►Special Gifts Campaign
History and Science on the Move!
Donate today to the Longway Portable Dome Theater!
Longway’s New Portable Dome Theater
will bring field trip experiences directly to elementary school children so they can enjoy the wonders of science, history, astronomy and many other subjects without leaving their school.
This portable structure, with its state-of-the-art projection and sound system, can be easily inflated in an indoor space such as a gymnasium. Our staff can accommodate up to five classrooms a day, serving 150 students, with the ability to reach 11,000 students per year.
Recently, more and more teachers have asked Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium to bring our programs to their classrooms—saving the time and expense of busing.
Every dollar counts! The Portable Dome Theater costs $102,000. We have almost reached our goal!
Help us reach our goal by making a tax-deductible gift to the Longway Portable Dome Theater . . . . TODAY!
Each year, many of our friends and patrons make outright gifts in support of FCCC. These may be unrestricted or may be designated for a particular member organization that is dear to your heart. In addition to cash donations, non-cash contributions such as appreciated stock are also welcome and may provide additional tax advantages. Donors often make these gifts to honor or remember an important person in their lives.
Interest earned from contributions to our Endowment Fund will allow FCCC and its member organizations to serve the community far into the future. This fund provides a steady source of operating funds that is not impacted by the changing economy. Increasing the endowment to generate greater endowment income is a critical component of the FCCC's plans for a sustainable future, and we welcome our friends and supporters to help ensure that future with a gift to the FCCC endowment.
►Grants & Sponsorships
Grants and sponsorships from corporations, foundations and trusts provide important support for FCCC and its member organizations. Sponsorships assist Longway Planetarium, Sloan Museum, and The Whiting to undertake specific events, activities or performances. Grants often support a major program or activity. Sponsors and grantors receive public recognition for their contributions.
Members of FCCC's James H. Whiting Society use the power of estate planning to create a legacy for themselves, their families and their community. Planned gifts support the continuing work of the FCCC and its member organizations and are a way for people to extend their generosity beyond their lifetimes. Many methods of planned giving can provide a life-long income to the donor. We recommend that you consult with a legal or financial planning professional.
